The suspected traffickers had dug a hole in the middle of the room to hide a box stashed with an assortment of drugs.

Midlands provincial acting police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Ethel Mukwende confirmed the arrests. She said:

We managed to bust these people and recover 51 bottles of broncleer. We also recovered a considerable amount of processed dagga. There were also plastic stashes of mutoriro.

We also managed to arrest seven people we rounded at the place who will appear in court soon facing drug dealing related charges.

We urge the community to assist in dealing with drugs. We also urge society to stay away from drugs.

The owner of the building, Spencer Govere, said he had nothing to do with what was happening at the premises.
