25 August 2021

Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) has postponed its end of semester examinations, which had been scheduled to start on 30 August.

In a statement on Wednesday, the institution’s registrar Snikiwe Gwatidzo said the reopening will depend on the Government’s position on academic activity. The statement read:

Notice is hereby given that following the extension of level 4 National Lockdown by Government on 24 August 2021, examinations that had been set to commence on the 30th of August 2021 have been further deferred to a later date.

Please be advised that examinations will commence on the Monday which follows the lifting of the lockdown.

In the meantime, students are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated and prepare for the examinations.

Information pertaining to any changes will be posted on the University website: www.gzu.ac.zw.

Please remember to always mask up, sanitise, wash your hands, and practice social distancing.
